Happy Saturday and welcome to the first edition of On the List for 2023! Now that we’re 21 days into the New Year, is everyone getting the year right yet? For some reason, unlike every other year, I’ve been getting the year right every time. Perhaps that was because I was so ready for 2022 to be over with?!
I’m excited to see what this new year has in store, from a new career path to seeing my nieces continue to grow each time they visit.
This past week we made quite the changes on the second floor of our home, switching out 30-year carpet for hardwood. I absolutely love how it turned out, and we’re so much closer to having the second floor complete. Just need to get the walls painted, the hall bathroom floor put in/new wallpaper put up, and get my mom’s workroom moved upstairs. I’m looking forward to sharing the finished look for my writing studio and bedroom hopefully within the next few months (once we decide on the exact shade of grey for the walls!)
We have another very important thing to celebrate today. It’s my grandfather’s 87th birthday, and this time last year he was being moved from the hospital to the rehab facility near our home. He’s improved so much in the past year, and I know he’ll continue on his road to recovery in 2023!
