If you’re a long time follower of The Avid Pen and already aware of my love of all things skincare, then you’re probably surprised that I was able to narrow down my skincare favorites for 2019 to just eight products. Trust me it was not easy, but these eight products in today’s post come with my highest recommendation. They are my most used and most loved skincare items that I find myself reaching for again and again when my skin needs a little extra pampering. So, in no particular order, here are my 8 Skincare Must Haves for 2019.

Baggage Claim Eye Mask
In Gold or Rose Gold these eye masks are absolutely amazing, whether you just want to pop them on after you’ve changed in your PJ’s at the end of the day, or pop them on why you do your makeup before heading out to greet the day.
Drift Away Cleanser
This cleanser foams up in the most LUXURIOUS way which makes you feel like you have just spent a the day get a facial. It gets all the residue from the day and just leaves your skin feeling pampered and dewey.
Dive In Moisturizer
Still need a little extra moisturizing after the cleanser, just pat in some of this moisturizer and take your skincare routine to a whole new level!

Pore Proof Perfecting Clay Mask
The first thing I love about this mask besides the fact that it’s pink, is that the scent is so mild, the perfect thing for my sensitive nose. The second thing is the fact that this mask really is for all skin types, which means no irritating my sensitive skin.
Overnight Sleeping Mask
When Peach & Lily introduced the newest products for their Peach & Lily Collection, I couldn’t wait to try them. One of my favorite things about the Peach & Lily Collection is that the products don’t overwhelming you with scent. With everyone putting scents in just about everything these days, it’s so refreshing to find a product that has only the lightest of spa-like scents. The Overnight Star Sleeping Mask has just the slightest hint of lavender and leaves you feeling soothed and relaxed (as if you’d just come home from a spa day!)
Nécessaire
I first found out about Nécessaire through one of my fellow content creators, and since then it has been popping up on more and more blogs and websites as the brand celebrates their first year of business. After spending years trying to find a body wash and lotion that didn’t have a scent (including ones that claimed to be fragrance free but still had a scent) I found the holy grail. Nécessaire not only has a fragrance free option in all of their skincare products, but the brand is 100% clean and cruelty free.
The Body Lotion
I’ve always had dry skin so adding moisture back into my skin on daily basis is essential. Since the moment I opened my first order from Nécessaire, this body lotion is the first thing I apply to my hands before I head out the door in the morning and before I go to bed at night. It adds rich moisture to your hands and I’ve also been using it on my arms and legs during the drier weather. The lotion absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave any oily residue.
This lotion will not only add moisture back into your skin with it’s peptides and multi-vitamins but it will help to tone and strengthen your skin.
The Body Wash
I can’t say enough about the body wash from Nécessaire. The gel formula lathers into a rich foam that truly elevates your evening self-care. Summer Fridays
Jet Lag Mask
I wasn’t sure what to expect after my first try with a new product, but going into it I was hoping to plump up the lines that are starting to pop up around my eye area (thank you, 30’s) and give my skin a dewy and refreshed appearance. This mask left my skin feeling refreshed and breakout free. I’m definitely looking forward to using the Jet Lag Mask when my skin needs a little extra TLC (ie after the end of an especially long week!)
