On Saturday, mum, my sister and I took a little day trip up to Winston-Salem, the home of Wake Forest University and the Reynolda House Museum of American Art. (We were there to see the latter.) Our first stop of the day was at the Village Shops, because by the time we got there I wasn’t the only hungry one in the group. Despite the chill in the air, we opted for the outside seating at the Village Tavern, one of several restaurants in the shopping area.
Turkey Burger
French Onion Soup
Grilled Chicken Spinach Salad
After lunch we went and looked at a some of the shops and I found the cutest teal purse to add some more jewel tones to my fall/winter wardrobe at BohoBlu.
Moving on to the Reynolda House Museum where they are showing off American Impressionism and the Garden Movement Oct 3rd-Jan 3rd, 2016. (Sorry no pictures in the house or gallery, but I did take some pictures of the outside and grounds.
We wanted to take some pictures of the Graylyn Manor House across the way a short distance away, but they were having several events that day.

We headed back over to the shops to check out the garden area, and one of the restaurants we’d seen earlier, Silo Bistro Bar.

Mum and Ashley Jane were in the mood for some dessert, but I decided to try their Pulled Chicken Sandwich.
