There are so many things to see and do in Fearrington Village, that you really don’t have to venture out if you don’t want to. Since our first full day at the Fearrington started off rainy, we just ventured into a few of the shops before retreating to our room to watch movies and relax in front of the fire until the sun decided to make an appearance.
Dovecote Style was the first shop we stopped in at. It’s the perfect place to pick up a finishing touch for your outfit, a new handbag, stationary, food or home items, they have so much to offer. Plus, you absolutely have to visit the doves Buster & Myles and wait until you hear there laugh like coos.
Looking to enjoy a cup of tea (or coffee) or grab a bite? Head to The Goat… You can also enjoy lunch brunch or dinner at The Granary which is right next to McIntyre Books.
Since we’d eaten breakfast late, we weren’t in the mood for lunch, but picking up something to-go is a must. There are delicious salads/soups, sandwiches, and pizzas to pick from. On previous trips I’ve been all about the chicken salad sandwich. It is DELICIOUS and is normally enough for two people. The menu has changed a bit since we were last there, so the chicken salad sandwich is now deconstructed… but still oh, so yummy!
We didn’t purchase any of the pastries or gelato that they have on this trip (in retrospect I should have snagged one of the scones while I had the chance!) but we had every intention of picking up some goodies for the trip home on the following day. Because what is a road trip without snacks?
Want to curl up by the fire while you read the first few pages of what might be the next novel on your reading list? Head over to McIntyre Books…
Around 2:30 the sun finally made an appearance, and I seized the opportunity to head out and explore the village and get a little fresh air in the process.
The Haven Spa Boutique was closest to our room, so I started off there. While we didn’t have any spa treatments scheduled for this trip, they offer amazing pedicures, massages and facials just to name a few… In the Boutique part of the spa you can find soaps, lotions, washcloths and scrubbing tools galore along with robes, pajamas and slippers.
Stay tuned for details about our Afternoon Tea at The Fearrington House Restaurant… coming tomorrow!

I definitely want to, but I have a few coloring books I have to get through first. I did flip through it though, and it’s amazing! ~theavidpen
