Visiting the gardens at the Duke Mansion is a must when the seasons change. Since the leaves here in the Carolina’s are just starting to show off their brilliant colors, we decided that this past weekend was the perfect time to make an afternoon visit to the Duke Mansion gardens.
The weather has finally turned cool after all of the rainy and humidity we’ve been having, and I was finally able to wear the dress I picked up from the Chriselle Lim Collection. While the weather was definitely on the chilly side, the Sawyer Sweater Dress and Aileena boots from Sole Society kept the cold at bay.

The Sawyer Sweater Dress is definitely oversized on me. I normally wear a petite (since I’m 5’3”) I’m also a size 0, so I picked up this dress in XS. Despite the fact that it’s a oversized, I really loved wearing this dress during our first day of official fall weather, and once the weather turns cooler, I plan on layering a long sleeved top or collard shirt underneath for added warmth.
These boots couldn’t have been more comfortable for a walk around the gardens…
Having a bit of fun…
Until next time…
