During our childhood visits to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, we had fond memories of the Chelsea’s Tea Room that used to be located in the historic Biltmore Village. While the Tea Room is no longer there, Well Bred, a bakery and cafe has moved in promising to satisfy your sweet tooth.
For our outing into Biltmore Village we were joined by the other members of our party, my sister Ashley and her husband Mike.
The main reason I was so excited to visit Well Bred, was their giant vegan chocolate chip cookies.
Along with the many eateries, you can find boutiques alongside other well known stores like Talbots, Chicos and Williams-Sonoma in Biltmore Village, so it’s definitely worth venturing out the cocoon of the grounds of the Biltmore during one of the afternoons during your stay. (The Williams Sonoma in the Village is nice and large, and Mike and Ashley picked up a Nespresso machine which they are very excited about!)
One of the stores we stopped in during our outing was Origami Ink. It’s the cutest little store and they carry decorative pens, journals, notebooks, stationary and other fun items. So for all of you writers out there, this is a must visit during your trip to Asheville!
