On Saturday as part of our ‘Self-care Saturday’ we decided to start off our day a brunch at the Gallery Restaurant at the Ballantyne Hotel. The Gallery is a wonderful place to spend an hour or so relaxing surrounded by art and the newly renovated surroundings of the Ballantyne Hotel. When we were last at the Ballantyne for afternoon tea the hotel was still in the middle of renovations and I shared a few glimpses of the newly renovated areas here on the blog. Since then the renovations have been completed and I will be sharing some of the pictures I took during our walk around the hotel.
Every brunch at the Gallery Restaurant starts off with a bread basket (as it should) and since I adore muffins, that’s what I started off with first. Also included in the bread basket were brioche with chocolate morsels and a southern staple, biscuits.
Gorgeous berries…
If you’re wondering what you should order for your brunch experience at the Gallery, the Eggs Benedict is always a safe bet. Since we both decided to order the same thing, mom went with a side of fruit while I opted for the breakfast potatoes.
After our brunch it was time to start our little self-guided tour of the renovations, which started off at the Grand Staircase.
This is definitely a spot where I could relax with a good book.
The newly renovated bar, The Ryal, where we plan to grab a drink no-jito or un-bellini some small bites from their new menu sometime in the near future. This is also the new location for afternoon tea.
The florals around the lobby are always so beautiful.
