Eyelet Dresses for Summer

When exploring the gardens at Winghaven, wearing a flowy dress and comfortable shoes is a must. Since rediscovering Winghaven last year in the heart of Charlotte’s Myers Park neighborhood, between Selwyn Avenue and Westfield Road, garden lovers are treated to a walled garden with bricked pathways and the sounds of birds who venture to the garden from the bird sanctuary. You may even see a squirrel scamper across your path.

Our favorite time to visit Winghaven is during their garden tour, which features Winghaven and select gardens around Charlotte. This year, the tour included a home with the most amazing enclosed flower and vegetable garden, which was nothing short of stunning.

I found this beautiful eyelet dress on MANGO last year and it’s one of the most comfortable, effortlessly feminine dresses that I own, making it one of my favorite pieces once the weather first starts warming up. I like to tie the dress at the neck and pair it with a pair of statement earrings and skip a necklace altogether, but depending on the look you are going for you could easily pair it with a layered necklace look, a locket, a more delicate understated jewelry look.

I paired my look with my favorite ballet mules from Margaux, in French Blue, Katie Loxton tote from last year, and added the Hidden Garden Scarf with three hidden bunnies in the design by artist Ashley D Begley from Sarah Flint NYC for a little extra blue.
