“Autumn leaves don’t fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.” — Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing
One of the patterns that I like to keep throughout the year, is florals. For fall and winter, I tend to go for the darker florals and this square neck blouse from LOFT features beautiful feminine/romantic details, including long sleeves with puffed shoulders and elasticized cuffs that finish with a ruffle at the wrist. The button details are functional as well, so if you like to layer for warmth, you can add a tank underneath and forgo the sweater to really let this top have its moment.
While I went with skinny jeans for this look and tucked them into my booties, you can also wear dark wash boot-cut jeans. My pointelle sweater is a Stitchfix find, which is still available in quite a few sizes. I went with my usual size, XS, and as you can see the sweater has an oversized fit.
I kept my jewelry simple for this look with my favorite floral necklace from Minimalist Magnolia, the Small French Twist Huggies from STUDS that I’ve been wearing on repeat since I first discovered them last year, and my Corda Friendship Bracelet from Monica Vinader.
“Autumn is the hardest season. The leaves are all falling, and they’re falling like they’re falling in love with the ground.” – Andrea Gibson
