If ever there was a dress made for those early spring days, this leopard print dress from J.Crew would be it. The fabric is the perfect texture for wearing from season to season, from spring to early summer, and late fall. While it comes with a sash, I like wearing it loose for a more effortless flowing look, but if you’re wearing this one to an outdoor event or even into the office, I’d add the sash.
I wore the dress for the first time for a walk around one of our favorite streets in Baxter Village just a few minute’s walk to our favorite little chocolate shop, Chocolat Boutique, and a delicious brunch spot, Fish Market which has the most delicious Saturday/Sunday brunch and some EPIC salmon tacos that I absolutely recommend. Baxter is also getting a Greek restaurant that I’m eager to try, or if you prefer Italian, Fratteli’s Bolognese with tiramisu for dessert.
With this taupe leopard print, your could easily pair it with gold, taupe, or as I’ve paired it with, cognac accessories. My bag is from Burten Hyde and while it has the look of a Hermes bag (which is what I was going for) it’s a mere fraction of the price. It’s currently sold out in brown but is still available in both red and black.
My shoes are the Natalie’s from Sarah Flint, which are one of my go-to shoes from the brand regardless of the season. The saddle colorway goes with a variety of looks from dresses to jeans and I find myself reaching for them to pair with quite a few looks throughout the year.
Leopard Print Dress (J Crew) // Bag (Burten Hyde), similar // Natalie flats (Sarah Flint) // Medium Oval Hoop (STUDS)
As far as accessories, I went with my favorite Oval Hoop earrings from STUDS. You can buy them as a pair or separately depending on the look you’re going for. Since my ears are on the small side, I tend to go for smaller hoops, and these earrings don’t put a lot of weight on your ears, making them an ideal choice for daily wear.
My necklace which you can see peaking out is a beautiful necklace from a previous season from another favorite brand of mine, Spartina 449. I picked it up during one of my visits to Hilton Head, and I’ve been pairing it with looks ever since, such a versatile piece!
While I wore this look for a walk around one of our favorite little neighborhoods, this would be the perfect resort wear piece (just pair it with sandals if you’re planning on a walk along the beach, or to do a little reading poolside.
