A few weeks ago after our little mini-break in Asheville, we finally had the chance to introduce my sister to our favorite tapas spot in Charlotte Bulla. While you’ll probably remember the post about our Brunch at Bulla, this time we visited for a weekday lunch experience. During the weekdays diners have an option between the regular lunchtime menu or picking a selection of two or three items (depending on whether you’d like dessert) from the Lunch Prix Fixe menu.
I was having the hardest time deciding what I wanted for my first course option, and our waitress Alethea brought me sample of the Gazapacho Andaluz (a chilled Spanish vegetable soup) from the kitchen and with the very first spoonful I’d made my decision.
While we waited for our meal we decided to split the Pan de Cristal Con Tomate (toasted crispy bread brushed with fresh tomato) and it was absolute amazing. Think the Spanish version of Bruschetta.

Croquetas de Jamón and Gazpacho Andaluz
For our first courses mom went with the Croquetas de Jamón that we enjoyed during our first visit to Bulla, while I went with the aforementioned Gazpacho Andaluz. This was my first time enjoying gazpacho and it was a delicious first experience. If you’re on the fence about whether or not to order the gazpacho on your next visit to Bulla the answer should always be YES.
For our second course mom and I both went with the Pintxo Pollo y Tostada. We’d enjoyed a similar (but smaller) tapas dish during our first visit, and this dish did not disappoint.
My sister, Ashley tried out the Churrasco for her first Bulla experience. Churrasco Moruno is a dish featuring cumin marinated skirt steak, mojo verde, peppercorn sauce and a sweet potato terrine. She was even brave enough to try the Shishito Peppers that she ordered on the side.

While I chose not to go with a third course (as I was way to full to eat another bite) mom went with the Flan de Coco which features as the name suggests, a Coconut Flan that is served with passionfruit sorbet and fresh berries.

Time to walk off those calories with a little shopping…
For the Shop This Post below, I’ve included links to both the outfit above and a similar one piece option with the same fabric.
