Corkscrew is one of three new eateries that have opened up in the ever growing Kingsley development. The Corkscrew Wine Pub is open for both lunch and dinner, and we’ve visited twice so far. The first time we were on our way to an event, and tried out their chicken salad sandwiches, and this past Saturday we decided to try out both versions of their chicken pesto (ie the Besto Pesto Sandwich and Chicken Pesto Flat Bread).
With locations in Birkdale, Uptown Charlotte and now Kingsley, even for those who don’t indulge, Corkscrew has many delicious food options from salads and flatbreads to small plates and cheese boards. They even have house-made truffles which sound absolutely amazing.

The Chicken Pesto Flatbread features chicken pesto, goat cheese and spinach drizzled with Balsamic Vinegar, while the Besto Pesto Sandwich features chicken pesto, goat cheese, fresh cherry tomatoes and spinach.
Although it can get a little loud from time to time depending on your fellow diners, Corkscrew is definitely the perfect neighborhood wine pub to sit awhile and relax either at the end of the workday or for a mid day break on the weekend.
Also, if you like to have a little bit of entertainment while you dine, there is live music every Friday night at 9pm and we’re already looking forward to dining on their patio once the weather cools off again.
