My Chapter House | Hickory

Ever since we first discovered My Chapter House, located in Hickory, NC, just a little over an hour drive away, I knew we needed to visit. While we wish we could have attended the Gilmore Girls event they had a few weeks ago, it didn’t work out for us. However, I loved seeing all the coverage via the bookstore’s Instagram page.

As a long-time book lover (we used to go through entire shelves at our local library, and then since starting the blog, I’ve had the chance to both review books for multiple publishers and feature Q&As with many bestselling authors. Visiting family-owned bookshops like this one was the perfect way to spend my birthday.

Just imagine getting to sit in one of these cozy chairs that are sprinkled around the store on one of their book club nights. You read for 1 hour, and then it’s time to mingle with your fellow booklovers.
