One of the most exciting developments just south of the North Carolina stateline (in Fort Mill, SC) has been the Kingsley development. Over the past year and half the development has really expanded with the edition of several restaurants including the second location of NAPA in the Carolinas, the original location is located on Providence Rd.
Since we always like to try out a new restaurant for brunch or lunch, we decided to be patient as the restaurant trained their staff and expanded from offering dinner service to lunch during the week and brunch on the weekends.
Long before our visit I had been eyeing the menu trying to decide what I wanted to try out. Since I’d already tried out the Eggs Benedict at their Providence location (which was delicious by the way) I decided to go with something new, the Shrimp with Lemon Gnocchi.
Along with an open and airy setting plan, the restaurant also offers a closed in space perfect for private events, and an outside eating area with a view of the water.
The main dining area with a view of the kitchen. The event space is off to your right.
The bar
If you’re having trouble deciding what to order, definitely ask your waiter for their favorite items on the menu. All dishes from the ‘Small Plates’ section were given a thumbs up, with the Wild Turkey Farms Pork Belly being the top choice.
Shrimp with Lemon Gnocchi
Both the shrimp and the lemon gnocchi were cooked to absolute perfect. The shrimp was delicious fresh, and the gnocchi was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Seriously, I was ready to go back and order it all over again for dinner.
Heirloom Tomato Benedict
Mom ordered the Heirloom Tomato Benedict off the brunch menu, and said that it was hands down the best Eggs Benedict she’s ever had in her life.
