Is all that we see or seem, but a dream within a dream.” Edgar Allan Poe
When our Saturday plans got unexpectedly changed, we jumped at the opportunity to check out the latest exhibition at the Anne Neilson Fine Art Gallery, Of Vivid Dreams. The show opened just this past week and features the works of six artists.
Paintings by Asheville based artist, Jane Schmidt cover the walls of the first ‘room’ of the Anne Neilson Gallery. I loved the vibrant colors palettes that the artist used in her abstract landscapes which were a visual feast for the senses.

My favorite pieces from the show were the paintings by Judith Judy. I just love the ethereal nature of her paintings that leave the viewer feeling like they are getting a glimpse into another world. While we loved all of the paintings by Judith and we had two that were our absolute favorites.

If you’re looking for a restaurant to eat at before or after your visit to the Anne Neilson Fine Art Gallery, I highly recommend Bricktops. It’s our go-to restaurant when we’re in the South Park area and they have so many lovely dishes (and desserts) to choose from. So why not make an afternoon of it?
