While olive green might be considered more of a fall color, I love adding it to my wardrobe throughout the year. I found this beautiful maxi shirt dress from Tuckernuck during a sale a few months back, and I was already thinking of pairing it with a vintage belt from my mom, and my favorite pair of Sarah Flint’s.
There’s just something about shirt dresses that makes me feel nostalgic. My mom who has always had a sense of style I aspire to, wore quite a few shirt dresses when I was growing up in California. One of the dresses with a beautiful shade of pink, and I’m reminded of those days of spending hours in shopping malls from San Diego to Los Angeles with treats like my favorite snickerdoodle cookies, Sunday morning brunches with massive bran muffins, picking out books at the White Rabbit and trips to the beach only five minutes away from where we lived in La Jolla.
I paired my dress (which is no longer available from Tuckernuck, but if you’re going for a similar colorway, the Claiborne Dress and Finley Flutter Sleeve Dress are both such flattering options for spring) with the Natalie in saddle from Sarah Flint, my oval hoops from STUDS, the perfect little bag from Burten Hyde (similar, similar) that can be paired with so many looks throughout the year, and since it was an especially sunny day, I borrowed my moms sunnies just for the photos.
