Throughout our recent trip to Charleston we brought along lots of colorful masks. While my mom mades all of the masks I wear, I have one for everyday of the week if I want to wear a different pattern, although my pale yellow linen one with my monogram is the one that I wear the most often, you can read about how to sew your own masks. Also I love the masks they have at Grits & Grace Studio (a shop in Charleston, but you can purchase their masks online. Also most clothing brands are offering cloth masks for sale. I love these brightly colored ones from Boden.
Remember, while it might seem like much, doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protecting both ourselves and those around us is so very important.
What I’m watching…
New Girl
I never watched the series all the way through to the end, so I’m starting from the beginning.
Cursed
I just finished watching this one, and while it could get a bit brutal, I did enjoy seeing the story from a new perspective. Looking forward to the possibility of a season 2 (and hoping for the same with Sweet Magnolias too!)
What I’m reading…
The New Parisienne by Lindsey Tramuta
I’m continuing to read through this book which includes so many inspiring stories of the women who call Paris home. Check out my interview with Lindsey about the book, and my interview with one of the inspiring women included in the book, Ajiri Aki.
What You Wish For by Katherine Center
I’m reading this one slowly, and enjoying every minute of it. For a inside look into both the novel and the literary world of author Katherine Center, check out the interview I shared with her earlier this month.
French Milk by Lucy Kinsley
This is definitely a different book format that I’m used to (illustrated) but as soon as A Cup of Jo recommended it, I knew I had to check it out.
What I’m Cooking…
Shrimp & Peach Salad with Vinaigrette
We made the most delicious shrimp and peach salad with fresh Bibb lettuce and a Champagne Vinegar/Olive Oil/Whole Grain Mustard Vinaigrette that I made from scratch with absolutely no recipe or measurements. It was FANTASTIC, I’m considering making it again and sharing it here on the blog, anyone interested?
Non Alcoholic Blackberry Mint Mojitos
I came up with a twist on a recipe that I found through one of the food blogs that I follow. It called for simple syrup, and I thought why not make it with blackberry syrup instead? YUMMY! Post coming to the blog soon!
