The smell of honeysuckle is the first thing that greets your senses when you step outside of the Beach Club at the Sea Island Resort, it’s only once you’ve passed the shops and swimming pools, that you first get the taste of the salt on your lips. Both days that we walked out to the ocean were cool and windy, hair fly wildly around our faces as we tried to get a good view of the Atlantic Ocean.
It’s been over a year since we were this close to the ocean and every time I see it I wish that we lived closer. I don’t mention it very often but our family actually lived in California up until I was eight years old, and we were literally minutes from the ocean.
Whether you plan to spend your morning/evening on the beach or lounging in or around one of the pools, there are so many things to see and do at the Beach Club. If you’re looking for a sit-down meal and fresh seafood, tryout Sea Islands beachfront seafood restaurant, Southern Tide. After lunch head over to Wonderland for some Ice Cream and Sweet Treats. Looking for a meal to enjoy poolside? The Snack Shack has sandwiches, soft drinks and other treats.
