It’s an ethereal thing… more about the way places feel than look. – Stuart Coleman Budd
The Stuart Coleman Budd and Annual Small Works Show opened up at the Anne Neilson Gallery over on Morrison Blvd. Stuart Coleman Budd’s exhibition titled places is filled with ethereal landscapes that are some of the most ethereal and calming landscapes that I’ve ever seen. As you stand (or sit as I did) and look at the paintings you feel like you’ve been transported to another world.
The Annual Small Works Show that is part of the current exhibition features smaller affordable art that is the perfect thing for gifting to the art lover in your life.
I really enjoyed these floral pieces by Mia Malcom…
I also loved the “Pouts” by Raleigh based artist Caroline Boykin (made using porcelain, acrylic and resin).
Anne Neilson’s work is also a part of the Annual Small Works Show and I just had to share a few of my favorite pieces.
The exhibition will be up through December 30th, so if you find yourself in the Charlotte area it’s definitely worth popping in to view the exhibition. The next exhibition ‘Coup De Foudre’ will open January 12th and feature the work of William McLure, Mckenzie Dove, Kim Fonder + Kinuko Hoffman.
