If there was even a question on the fact that I’m introducing quite a bit of yellow into my wardrobe, this dress should lay any of those questions to rest. I recently found the Arianna Sleeveless Tiered Cotton Maxi Dress (BB Dakota by Steven Madden) on Nordstrom and even though it’s available in both yellow and black, I knew that I would be ordering the yellow.
The sleeveless dress features straps that button at the back, and a tiered maxi skirt. The fabric just enough weight to it to keep you from feeling chilly when you’re indoors and is breathable enough that you don’t get too overheated when you’re spending your morning or afternoon outdoors enjoying a few hours of sunshine.

I’ve been reaching for my Wide Brim Boater Hat on repeat lately, you’ll remember it from my Berry Picking in Gingham post, and it’s perfect for keeping the sun off the back of your neck (can’t say the same for the yoga outfit that I’ve been wearing to work on the garden lately) and it’s lightweight enough to not feel cumbersome when you’re doing a bit of walking around. You will have to catch it when the wind kicks up because it will definitely try to get away from you.

Since this is a maxi dress, I paired it with the wedge espadrilles that I purchased from J.Crew Factory a few years ago, I’ve linked some similar options at a budget-friendly price point.
My belt from Banana Republic is one of my favorite purchases this month. I’d originally bought it for a sunflower print maxi dress from H&M, and I love that it gives you just the right about of definition at the waist. You can also wear this dress unbelted if you like for a more relaxed look.
