One city that should not be missed if you find yourself along the Georgia coast, is Savannah. It’s one of the most well known cities in Georgia, besides Atlanta and holds so much history and charm.
While we stayed there for several days when we first visited back in 2012, this trip we were just stopping in to check out a few spots, and all of them can be visited in under 4 hours. Seriously you’ll spend more time trying to find a parking space, or trying to get into one of the more popular restaurants than anything else.
Get a bite… at Gryphon Tea Room
Whether you’re looking to enjoy some afternoon tea, or simply enjoy the charming surroundings of this former pharmacy turned tea room over drinks, stopping in at the Gryphon Tea Room is a must when you find yourself in Savannah. Most of the staff are students at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) that owns buildings all over the city) and the food is delicious.
You can check out my recent post about the Gryphon Tea Room here.

Look at some art… at SCAD
The SCAD store offers everything from art to jewelry and even speciality teas. Any visit to Savannah should include a stop at this store, which is coincidentally right across from the Gryphon Tea Room if you decided to go there for your lunch plans.

Pick up some Honey… at Capital Bee Company
While we’d visited the Savannah Bee Company several times in the past, we fell in love with the charming surroundings and the range of honey’s and other bee related products at the Capital Bee Company. They have a wonderful Honey Bar where you can taste all of the honeys before you buy, and there are so many fun gift items (whether you’re looking for a gift for yourself or someone else.)
Honey Suggestions: Blackberry Honey, Whipped Honey or one of the Raw Honeys with the Honeycomb inside. Yummy!

If you’re a looking for a bit of Paris… head over to the The Paris Market
If you’ve seen pictures of their shop and cafe over on Instagram, then you probably already know about their famous lavender lattes. We popped in to have a look around to store (although we had to be quick since the closet parking was only 30 minutes and we had more than one stop to make.) They have so many lovely things in store from sachets of dried lavender, children clothing and toys, and things for the home. I especially loved their selection of seashells that they had for sell.

If you’re looking to pick up a new piece of jewelry or still have some gifts to buy… check out One-Fish, Two-Fish
We popped into this gift shop purely on a whim, and walked away with a new piece of jewelry that really made the outfit I was wearing that day pop. If you love boutiques, then this one is filled with beautiful things you’ll want to take home with you.
