On Saturday I shared my first ever makeup tutorial on Instagram for trèStiQue. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that it was more than a little nervous about it, since I’m by no means a professional at makeup application, in fact, I’m the complete opposite, but that’s what I love about trèStiQue. All of their products are 2 in 1, with built-in makeup brushes and balms, their mascara features an eyelash curler in the cap and all of their products are free of synthetic fragrances. Plus you can create a kit tailored to the way that you apply makeup. For me, it’s all about playing up my eyes and lips. So you could say when it comes to makeup I’m a minimalist.
5 Essentials Kit
Brow Pencil in Espresso
Since I have dark brown hair and eyebrows, espresso was the perfect color choice for this brow pencil. You can fill in with the pencil on one end and then brush on the brow gel on the opposite end for a polished look.
Good Vibes Mascara
A mascara with a built-in eyelash curler? Revolutionary! I love that I can just use one product to give my lashes the curl and volume I’m looking for.
Shimmer Shadow Crayon in Morimoto Shimmer
As a makeup minimalist, I tend to go for eyeshadows that accentuate my skin tone instead of overwhelming it. (The smokey eye continues to allude me, but someday!) Morimoto Shimmer is the most beautiful shade of champagne pink pearl, with just enough shimmer without being too glitzy.
Concealer Crayon in Porcelain
I have very pale skin which can make finding the right concealer a challenge. I really like how the concealer crayon applies without caking into any fine lines.
Matte Lip Crayon in Florence Fig
When I buy lip colors, I tend towards the mauvy/nudes, and the trèStiQue lip crayon in Florence Fig goes with everything. It’s buildable, so you can go as light or as dark as you want depending on the occasion.
