Our littlest fairy, Charlotte just turned two, and in honor of her birthday we had a little celebration a few weeks early at our house. Planning and putting together birthday parties for littles is the absolute best. While this auntie spent most of the time prior to the party at the local playground keeping the birthday girl and her older sister Celia occupied so their mommy and Gigi could get all of the goodies, I enjoyed helping bring this beautiful fairy party to life.
My mom made these beautiful fairy dolls for both of the girls (this one is Celia’s) and they made the perfect additions to the table decor.
A simple salad with hand-cut cheese flowers, and a loaf of the most delicious focaccia bread with cherry tomato and garlic mushrooms and herbs from our garden. The focaccia recipe is by Gordon Ramsey and then we ‘decorated’ it to make it fit with the fairy theme.
These fruit skewers take no time at all to make, you just need a star cookie cutter to make the watermelon stars and then add freshly washed blueberries and grapes.
Our mushroom skewers featured cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella balls on a bed of fresh basil.
We also had mandarin butterflies and Babybel ladybugs.
Our fairy cookies came from our favorite Clemson-based cookie company, The Whimsy Cookie Co.
After our cake and cookies, it’s time for the littles to venture into the fairy garden complete with their own fairy house.
Charlotte decided to head off into the fairy garden first. This fairy garden has been a work in progress for the past few years, and we added even more luscious ferns and flowers in honor of Charlotte’s big day.
A curly redhead fairy doll for our little redheaded girl.
