…and I’m feeling plaid! Plaid dresses, plaid tops, plaid wraps, this time of year definitely lends itself to this fabric pattern. When I was searching for the a plaid dress this season I was immediately drawn to this tiered swing dress from Loft. It features a puff sleeve, which is one of my favorite types of sleeve. Also if you haven’t noticed yet, I’ve definitely been going for swing dresses since earlier this year.
This dress was the perfect option for heading into the city and picking up a bite of lunch at one of our favorite little delis. They make the BEST Chicken Salad Sandwich on Multigrain and their Turkey Pesto Sandwich special on Tuesdays is pretty spectacular too!
For footwear you can go with several different color options. I went with a mushroom/neutral faux suede boot that I picked up from Sole Society a few seasons back, and I found a very similar pair by Sole Society on Zappos. This dress would also work with a beautiful pair of chocolate brown knee boots or cognac suede boots.
For those of you who adore navy, this is a navy plaid with taupe and gold accents running through the plaid pattern, and its ideal for pairing with either simply gold or gold and pearl accessories. I’m wearing a pearl drop necklace that I found on Spartina 449 and I’ve found a similar one from Belk. I also love these delicate pearl earrings from Etsy.
In addition to the navy plaid dress (which is now only available in Regular and Tall sizes) there is also a black and white option that is just the sweetest. Also if you’re looking for a holiday swing dress I’m loving this Shimmer Swing Dress. Just pair it with a pair of black over the knee boots, your favorite accessories like a statement earring (like these Pave Link Drop Earrings or these Circle Drop Earrings) or a statement necklace (like this Pearlized Bauble Necklace) would look amazing with this dress!
