There are so many things to look forward to when the weather starts to turn warmer and you can bring out all of your chic and feminine sundresses and strappy heels. With each arrival of spring, throwing a spring brunch is an absolute must at our house.
This year we went went with a simpler approach to our florals, as I shared about in the post Gorgeous Floral Arrangements for Your Spring Table. In fact we loved our sunflower arrangements so much we plan to make a tradition out of it, because what says spring more than sunny sunflowers?
When it came to our appetizers we knew we wanted to keep it simple, and we’d found the most amazing recipe for Parmesan Crisps with a Goat Cheese Mousse that we topped with fresh chives, thanks to our recent Masterclass with Chef Thomas Keller of the French Laundry in Napa.
For every spring brunch we spend the week before creating all our desserts for the event, and we made quite a few this year. One of the ‘repeat’ dessert that we featured on our dessert table were these honey cakes.
Once the guests arrived, it was time to get the table set. While we used the same tableware as last year, we had a new addition for glassware.
The bee glasses from Ballard were a early birthday gift to mom from my sister and I, and they worked perfectly for the event.
For our main menu, we featured a fresh berry parfait bar featuring all our our favorite spring berries along with delicious granola options from our local Whole Foods and Soy and Almond Milk Vanilla Yogurts for those of us with dairy allergies.
