Each spring The Charlotte Garden Club, an affiliate of The Mint Museum has a Art in the Garden tour and selects six garden around the Charlotte area. This year our tour took us from Providence to the Elizabeth neighborhood, giving us a tour of areas of Charlotte that we don’t always find ourselves in.
One of the things I enjoy about this tour is each garden has one to two artists painting their favorite part of the garden, and you can watch them paint for awhile, and even purchase some of their previous work if you find yourself so inspired. All paintings are on display at the Party and Plein Air Art Display that takes place on the second day of the tour at the Mint Museum Randolph.
