The Cottages at Charleston Harbor are just across the bridge from Charleston, in the town of Mount Pleasant with views of the Charleston Harbor, the USS Yorktown, and Fort Sumter. Since we wanted to spend our time in a place that felt safely tucked in, but mere minutes away from Charleston, staying at the cottages was the perfect choice.
All of the cottages feature 2 bedrooms (one master, one with two queen beds) three bathrooms, full kitchen, living area and your own screened in porch complete with a dining table, cushioned rattan chairs and a hammock (perfect for enjoying the ocean air!)

Our own screened porch with access from either bedroom and the living area in between…
In the evenings we can hear both the waves and the sounds of the shipping freighters as they pass back and forth in the harbor.
For our trip we planned a day trip to Charleston, keeping mostly to the area around the cottages with little trips to a few of the restaurants I’d looked up in Mt Pleasant prior to the trip (knowing that we wouldn’t be dining in at any of the restaurants both due to COVID and the fact that we had my 7 month old niece along for the trip!)
On our first night we ordered take-out from Savi Cucina + Wine Bar and following our day trip into Charleston, where we picked up a scrumptious lunch and pastries from La Patisserie at the Hotel Bennet (post on that coming soon!) we decided on Tavern & Table which is just a little over two miles away since we were in the mood for a little seafood. If you’re near the coast where seafood is at it’s freshest, we make a point to enjoy it!
