I love cozy sweaters and this one feels like a hug every time I wear it (no social distancing required!) No matter how chilly it is outdoors this sweater will keep you wrapped up in its warm embrace leaving you with a feeling that all is right with the world if only for a little while.
From the moment that I spotted the sweater on a rather unseasonably warm fall day, I knew that it would be a go-to through the fall and winter season from the moment I picked it up. As I felt the softness of the sweater I kept telling myself that I had plenty of sweaters back home, but I knew there was no way that I could possible pass it up!
While my exact sweater (by Mystree) is not currently available, I’ve found a few sweaters that are very similar here and here. Having a cream sweater in your fall/winter wardrobe is an essential because you can pair it with brown, black or neutral boots/booties. This one is an oversized sweater, I’m wearing a size small (I’m normally an XS) but the sizing on this one starts at small.
Chunky Cream Sweater (sold out, similar here and here) // Jeans (American Eagle) // Valerie Hollis Bootie (Clarks) // Mika Cat-Eye Sunglasses (Anthropologie)
“As the woods are the same, the trees standing in their places, the rocks and the earth… they are always different too, as lights and shadows and seasons and moods pass through them.” – Emily Carr
I paired this one with my favorite pair of American Eagle jeans, but you could also wear kick-hem jeans if you’re wearing a shoe with a bit of a heel. I was surprised (and very happy) to find that these Booties by Clarks were so comfortable. My sister and brother-in-law’s townhome is surrounded by woods and these booties were perfect for traipsing around in.
With the chunky neckline on this sweater a longer necklace is a must and I went with my favorite Spartina 449 locket, but I also love this long layering necklace from LOFT.
