While I’ll always be a fan of skinny jeans, I really appreciate how the wide-leg jeans/trouser look has come around again. I remember when it was back in vogue in the early 2000s. I had just graduated high school and had entered the corporate world for the first time. While we weren’t yet allowed to wear jeans on a daily basis, we did have casual Fridays. I had quite the collection of wide-leg jeans, and trousers I loved wearing with pumps and sandals to give myself that little bit of added height.
Since I’m under 5’4″ it can be hard not to look a bit drowned in wide-leg jeans/trousers I find that adding a shoe or bootie with a little bit of a heel really makes a difference.
Since I was going with an elevated yet relaxed look with this outfit. I paired my denim with a pullover navy and white sweater I picked up last spring. I love it when looks can be worn from season to season, and as I look forward to the arrival of spring, I’ve been pulling out some of my lighter-weight pieces and pairing them with the navy trenchcoat that I found on Stitchfix.
Accessories are always easy my favorite croissant ring, french twist huggies, the perfect red bag that I found on Amazon (where I’ve been finding quite a few beautiful bags lately), and of course my Perfect Emmas from Sarah Flint.
About The Perfect Emma
The Perfect Emma is beloved by bloggers Krystal Bick (This Time Tomorrow) and Blaire Eadie (Atlantic-Pacific) as well as well-known personalities such as Amal Clooney and Alexa Chung. The shoe features a triple-dyed Italian suede upper and one of my favorite features, a Tortoise printed patent leather heel. The inset block heel, expanded toe box, and anatomical arch support at 6mm of extra footbed padding guarantee your feet will be just as comfortable at the end of your workday as they were when you first stepped foot into the office.
In addition to navy suede, the Perfect Emma is available in Black, Taupe, Merlot, Navy, Espresso Suede. As well as Chocolate Leopard Haircalf, Sand Calf and Gold Saffiano.
(Just in case you’re curious, I have the Perfect Emma in Navy, Merlot and Chocolate Leopard Haircalf.)
Sizing
This shoe should fit snugly right out of the box but will widen over time. Since the fit is similar to the Natalie which I own in several colorways, I went with my usual size, 36EU/6US, and the shoes fit just right.
If you have specific questions about fit, I recommend scheduling a virtual styling appointment with a stylist for the best fit for you.
