Earlier this month we finally made it over to the ANFA gallery’s new space (directly across the street from their previous gallery space to see their latest exhibition, Emerging Revelations. The collection features encaustic artist Dusty Griffith’s latest work.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the encaustic technique. Each piece is covered with 50 to 100 or more layers of wax giving it a luminous, translucent effect.
The exhibition is on display through October 20th.

“Dusty Griffith is a highly renowned encaustic artist based out of Georgia and his work can be found within public and private collections across the nation. Using a variety of translucent media including beeswax and plexiglass, Dusty creates luminous encaustics rooted in spiritual significance. Organic elements are pieced together like a puzzle to reveal a complete work of art reminiscent of nature and a Higher Power.
