I wanted to create a product line so good for you, so beautiful, so inspiring there would be no reason not to invite it into every room of your home. Kara Brook Brown
Today I’m excited to share about two products from Waxing Kara’s new Sea + Tea line. Many of you are probably already familiar with the brand that creates skincare products such as butters, masks and scrubs to flavorful honey’s that you can enjoy in your morning cup of tea, or even lavender infused lollipops for a little afternoon pick me up.
Since I love any chance to share about skincare, I was very excited about the opportunity to share about the Sea + Tea line which launches on March 12th. Sea + Tea was inspired by the brands coastal farm and the product line combines antioxidant rich botanicals, vitamins and oils.
As a mask lover whether mixable, peel able or in sheet mask form, I’m always looking for new products that will not only work with my sensitive skin, but are also free of additives such as parabens, sulfates and are cruelty free.
Sea + Tea Mask
I’m a firm believer in masks that unclog pores, and the Sea+Tea Mask helps treat, tone and refine your skin while replenishing it with nutrients provided by a blend of green tea, seaweed and clay. Not only will you get rid of any impurities which can cause breakouts, you’ll also tighten your skin which helps keep your skin look younger!
This is only my second time using a mixable mask, and what I love about this one is that you can customize it according to your skin type. For my first time trying the mask I opted to mix with water since I didn’t have almond milk on hand, but I definitely plan on giving that option a try for my combination skin. (I tend to be oily in my t zone especially during certain times of the year.)
Suggested Mixer for the Sea + Tea Mask
Combination — Almond Milk
Mature — Carrot Juice
Oily — Citrus Juice
All Skin Types — Warm Green Tea
How to use:
Apply mask to cleansed and toned skin. This mask can be used once a week. Just mix two parts mask and one part water (or one of the suggested mixers above) until you’ve created a creamy paste. Apply to just your face (or to your neck and body if you want to optimize the benefits of the mask.) Leave on for 10-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
Sea + Tea Scrub
Having a body scrub on hand in between trips to the spa is always a good idea to help rid yourself of pesky dead skin. The Sea+Tea honey body scrub is made with a combination of pink Himalayan mineral salt, coconut oil, shea butter, green tea, kelp and herbs (along with other natural ingredients.)
Whether your a bath girl, or a shower girl (like me) this scrub helps keep your skin looking healthy and leaves you feeling refreshed.
How to use:
While bathing, apply to skin in gentle circular motions. Rinse with warm water and towel dry.
I definitely recommend both of these products, especially if you are looking for a natural skincare option, and while these products were gifted, I would definitely purchase them again myself.
About the Brand:
Waxing Kara was founded by Kara Brook Brown, an artist who started beekeeping to harvest wax for her encaustic paintings. After learning how important bees are to our planet’s sustainability, Kara’s passion to create honey products began. Kara’s coastal farm (40 acres in all) differs from other apiaries in the fact that they farm specifically for bees. All genetically modified crops have been removed and nectar yielding plants such as wildflowers, lavender, fruit trees, bee balm, buckwheat and clover have been planted in their place.
Since founding the brand in 2012, Waxing Kara’s honey products have been sold in over 250 stores in the US such as Anthropologie, West Elm and Uncommon Goods. Kara’s products have also been featured in well known publications such as Cosmopolitan, Allure, Martha Stewart, Garden & Gun, Food & Wine and Southern Living.
