The Nutcracker has been one of our Christmas traditions for the past several years, and while this year so many things look different we still enjoy our opportunities to support The Arts. This year the Pacific Northwest Ballet, who we’ve always dreamed of seeing in person, offered tickets to a virtual performance of The Nutcracker, and we jumped at the opportunity to dress up for our virtual watch party for two.
The most gorgeous peonies and roses from our local Fresh Market, the ideal bouquet for the ballet dancer in your life.
We pulled out one of our favorite nutcrackers from a previous years performance (of The Charlotte Ballet’s Nutcracker) and I found my pair of ballet slippers from the year that I was all about trying to find ballet classes for adults, but unfortunately at that time there weren’t any in our area. They did make the perfect prop for our photo shoot/virtual watching party.
For my outfit I’ve had this beautiful rose metallic champagne Sequin Balloon Sleeve Dress from Loft hanging in my closet just waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. Plus I’m wearing the Fireside Stone Drop Earrings every chance I get, they’re both elegant and lightweight. Which is also perfect for any New Years Eve celebrations you might be having via Zoom or with your personal social group/pod.
Before we enjoyed the virtual performance we popped open a bottle of the most delicious strawberry sparkling lemonade and put together an impromptu mini cheese board with a savory cheeses, crackers and fruit. Cheers!
