On Memorial Day we decided to take advantage of a deliciously cool and humidity free afternoon, and head out to Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. We’d last been there in the early spring, when only a few things were beginning to bloom, and were eager to see the transformation the garden had made during the spring.

While the current attraction is the ‘Wee Houses’ that are located in different areas around the garden, what drew our attention most was the fact that herbs, different kinds of lettuce and various fruits/vegetables had been planted in amongst the flowers throughout the garden. (If you follow my foodie blog, you’ll know that we plant a herb garden each year, and our garden this year is doing particularly well!)

Time to walk into the gardens...
