If you enjoy playing board games with friends at home, why not host a game night with your fellow travelers? During our recent trip to Highlands, North Carolina we decided to bring along some of our favorite board games and invited my sister and brother-in-law to do the same. When it comes to board games both my sister and brother-in-law are formidable opponents, so we decided to bring along one game where everyone has to work together as a team. The name of the game, Exit: Dead Man on the Orient Express.
In retrospect, we probably should have started with an easier option for our first Exit game, but we were intrigued by figuring out a murder on the Orient Express, and even downloaded the app where you can play the music that sets the ‘mood’ for the game.
The Games
Exit: Dead Man on the Orient Express
Chinese Checkers
Last Will
Ding It
Scattergories
Trivial Pursuit
The Snacks
S’mores
It’s always fun to put together your own S’mores Kit, and since our VRBO had two fireplaces, we had the perfect opportunity to make some delicious S’mores to enjoy before we got started on the game. All you need are graham crackers, assorted marshmallows, chocolate (obviously) and marshmallow roasting sticks.
SkinnyPop Popcorn
You can use any brand of pre-popped or microwaveable popcorn, we just happen to really like SkinnyPop because it’s dairy free etc.
Although I will admit that this particular game went a bit over my head, it was fun to watch everyone else play the game. I would definitely say that Exit: Dead Man on the Orient Express is one for game experts.
