This year I decided to make it my year of self-care. While I’ve tried to carve out time to keep up with a nightly skincare routine in the past (which most times if I’m honest only happened once or twice a week if I was lucky, and most of the time including using my facial cleanser while in the shower which is a big no-no), this year I’ve been working on taking better care of myself. From nightly skincare and going to bed at a decent hour, to taking my daily multivitamins every single day.
For those of you who follow me on Instagram (if you’re not already following you can find me @theavidpen) you’re already aware that I’ve been trying out new skincare products and skincare tools. This past weekend I shared on reels and on my feed about the Leda Red LED Sonic Facial Brush from Vanity Planet. Vanity Planet has been my go-to for skincare tools for years now from their Facial Steamer which not only helps unclog pores but can be essential when you’re dealing with back-to-back colds, but also their toning and exfoliating devices.
The most recent campaign focused on products from their Elevate line, which as some of you may know never goes on sale, but if you stick with me through the end of the post I have a discount code to share with you.
Get 10% off your order from the Elevate line with the code (THEAVIDPEN_ELEVATE ) and a gift with purchase when you shop via the following link.
The Leda uses supercharged sonic cleansing and red light to not only cleanses your skin but also fights against fine lines and wrinkles with red light therapy. Since I have sensitive skin, this is my first time using a red light therapy device of any kind. This device is specifically made for sensitive skin, but it’s a good idea to test it out on your hand or arm to make sure your skin isn’t sensitive to the red light. (All it takes is three minutes with the device on or near your skin to find out if you’re light sensitive.)
The device comes with two silicone heads, the brush head for cleansing and the massage head for helping those serums absorb into your skin. Each head can be used on 3 different massage modes depending on how deep of a cleanse or massage you’re going for on a particular day. I typically cleanse on the first or second mode and then massage on a three to really get my serum soaked in and also to help invigorate my skin. At the end of a long day, a nice facial massage is just a little something you can do for your skin to help ease the stress of the day.
