Modern elegance was the look we were going for with our recently redesigned living room. My mom was previously an interior designer, so she was mood boarding this space long before we actually started working on it. Our color scheme throughout most of the downstairs is grey and gold/yellows, so we kept all the things in the room within that color scheme.
This space is now being used and enjoyed more than it has in all of the years we’ve been in our home, and has become a place not only to visit with guests but also a place to relax in the evenings.

Feather focal piece and greenery / Ethan Allen Ginger Jar (no longer available)

This fireplace really makes the space. I assembled it myself, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We love the options that it comes with, from the ability to have the sound of a crackling fireplace (or not if you’d rather have silence) to the heating option.

Also assembled by yours truly. I love the modern take this bookcase adds to the feel of the room while including books featuring art from various time periods.

Johnathan Y lamps are a must in any space, and our swivel armchairs are both comfortable and functional. The ottoman in the center of the four chairs is the perfect spot for tucking away throw blankets, and our Tic Tac Toe board.
