Nancy was one of our ‘unexpected finds’ on our recent mini-break to St. Simons. The boutique/restaurant offers New American cuisine, feels like it would be completely at home in New York City. We were absolutely in love with the place from the moment we walked in through the front door.
As you can see from the menu, it changes by the season, and there were so many delicious options that it was hard to narrow our choices down.
Since I love chicken salad, trying out the chicken salad sandwich made from Chef Abney’s mother’s original recipe had me intrigued. My sister went with asparagus soup and cheese toasties, while mom opted for the Asian Style Chicken Salad.
The chicken salad was an quite an interesting combination of flavors, having both chicken and egg in the mix, along with a mayo with distinct citrusy notes.
After enjoying our meal, and doing a little ‘people watching’ as the locals strolled in and out, we popped over to the other seating area/wine room and the boutique for a look around.
