It feels like it’s been years since our last our vacation to Bluffton (and our little day trip to the charming neighborhood of Habersham) instead of just coming up on 1 year. In lieu of everything that is currently happening we opted to not go on our planned vacation in a few weeks time to Charleston, SC. With most of the world either under lock down or under shelter-in-place we prefer to keep ourselves tucked up safe at home. There will be plenty of time for exploring once we know it’s safe to go out again.
Despite being surrounded by so many negatives and what-ifs on what the future will look like for all of us, I have loved seeing how much our community has come together. We talk with family more often via phone or FaceTime, we’re in the kitchen more, and spending more time with our immediate family. I enjoy popping onto Instagram for live videos with some of my favorite creatives to see how this time hasn’t dampened their inspiration, but instead broadened it, allowing them to share their talents in new ways for the rest of us to enjoy.

I completely agree with how Kendi Everyday mentions how she and her anxiety are basically common law married at this point. It’s something that many of us deal with, including myself on a daily basis. In this post, she shares two tips that have worked for her. (The first one is similar to what I do, which is sometimes called the Peter Pan pose.)
