Pears are definitely one of the favorite fruits in our house. We’ve enjoyed them on their own, poached, in freshly baked bread, on salads (the most delicious pear salad will be coming to the blog next week) and since I learned that they pair well with sheep’s cheese, I decided this Pear Spritzer should be the next drink to join the summer drink series for 2021.
With just two ingredients, this spritzer couldn’t be easier to make, and we always use the Looza Pear Juice that is available at both our local Harris Teeter and Publix stores. They also have Mango and Peach juice, so if you’d prefer to make this drink with either of those two juices feel free!
For our garnish, we used diced pears (in their natural juices) and the Mae Champagne Gold Cocktail Sticks from CB2 (comes in a set of six) were perfect for both styling and using as stir sticks to blend our pear juice and San Pellegrino Sparkling Water. I also used the Neat Old Fashioned Glasses from CB2. We’ve also had an absolute forest of mints this season which includes peppermint, orange mint, and chocolate mint. The chocolate mint really added to the flavor profile of this drink, and we found all of our mint plants at Whole Foods this year (along with a few other herbs that needed replacing this year.
