Random breakouts… we all have them from time to time. They can be caused by anything from a fluctuation in hormones and stress, to changes in diet and the environment. Depending on how epic your random breakout is will determine the treatment. Here’s a list of products I’ve use currently, and a few that I’m still trying out.
For those little flare ups…
After cleansing your face for the evening, apply one of these Peace Out Acne healing dots and take it off before your morning beauty routine. I first picked these up from Sephora about a year ago, and I’ve been using them ever since. Each package has to cards of 10, so for those of us who only deal with breakouts say once a month, these will last you awhile.
The importance of choosing the right acne treatments…
Unless you deal with acne on a regular basis, I would advise against using the latest product from Glossier. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love every other product I’ve ever tried from Glossier, but Solution. Not so much. It actually made me breakout more. So if you have sensitive skin like I do, then tread carefully when it comes to using certain acne products. Read the label, read the reviews and then decide.
If you have combination skin, and only tend to have oil and breakouts in your T Zone area, I highly recommend using a charcoal mask on a weekly on biweekly basis to get your pores clear of all the gunk that likes to reside in them. Also use micellar water or wipes to get all your makeup and other grit from the day off of your skin before going through any skincare regime followed by toner to get your skin prepped for the mask.
If your face needs some serious soothing…
If you tend to use products for acne frequently, then you know they can serious dry out your skin. To help bring your skins moisturize to a healthy balance, it’s important to moisturize. Sometimes I use a bit of the Super Bounce followed by my current moisturizer of choice and other times when my skin needs some serious soothing I like to use this Pure Aloe Vera Mask Pack by Tosowoong that I picked up from my favorite shop for KBeauty Products, Peach & Lily.
I used this Pure Aloe Mask for the first time this past week and I have to say that it truly does what it promises to do. My skin was seriously annoyed, and it felt like an absolute dream afterwards. So, if you’re looking for a new sheet mask to try, this one should definitely be on your list. (Plus at under $2 dollars a mask, you really can’t go wrong!)
