“Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.” – Elizabeth Lawrence
There are so many beautiful quotes about fall, but this is one of my favorites. Every morning on my drive to work I pass the most beautiful fall leaves. There’s something so awe-inspiring about seeing how the leaves go from green to yellows, reds and oranges and on my drive I always pass by one the local stables.
Although it’s too chilly in the mornings, I can often see horses roaming the pastures when I drive home in evenings and I knew it would be the perfect spot to get some photographs of my new favorite sweater dress from Talbots.

I absolutely love the color of this dress and I find the fit of this dress to be both true to size and extremely flattering. Also, can I just mention how much I love the button detail on the shoulders.
I paired my look with one of my favorite wraps that I’ve shared about both previously this season and last season as well. It was the most amazing find at one of our local boutiques and I’m so happy that I was able to pick up the last one before they’d sold out. It pairs well with everything from dresses to jeans and I love that I don’t have to worry about wearing a coat which can often be a bit cumbersome no matter how pretty the coat is.

According to trend reports (although I must admit I don’t always go along with all the latest trends) knee boots are definitely trending so I’m glad that I’ve kept my favorite pair of brown boots to wear again this year. I love it when shoes last from year to year because all my favorite shoes get a lot of wear before I’m forced to part with them. I’ve linked a similar pair of boots throughout the post and via the Shop the Post feature.
For the final touch I’ve added my Emilia Tote from Kate Spade which I picked up during one of the brands 75% off sales a few months back. I’ve linked a similar one and I have to say that the cherrywood color is just perfect for both fall and winter.
