Eyelet Ruffle Pocket Midi Dress (LOFT — Sold Out, Similar color here) // Lighthouse Earrings (Spartina 449)
I loved featuring a variety of flavor profiles, from the sweetness of the figs, to the savory element of the meats, cheeses and nuts in this South of France inspired cheese board. The Chèvre Mozzarella was especially mild, and the perfect flavor variation from the dill pollen and garlic marinated CHEVOO, fruit and citrusy elements of the Blueberry Lemon Thyme Goat cheese and the spicy Hatch Pepper Cheddar Cheese brought a nice balance to our cheese selections as well.
When it comes to the prosciutto, the San Daniele is the best (in my opinion) and for the salami lovers among you, a mild uncured salami either laid out as we have it, or decoratively displayed is a delicious addition.
Since we were going with a mostly French inspired board (with elements of Spanish (the almonds) and Italian (the meats) flavors), the sprigs of dried lavender and fresh rosemary were the perfect additions to bring the idea of this cheese board to life.

All of items included on our cheese board (with the exception of the Walnut Honey EVOO Crackers) were picked up from Whole Foods during our visit to Charleston which had a wonderful selection of both fresh fruits, meats, cheeses as well as the lavender that I’d been eyeing for weeks at one of Charlotte locations of Whole Foods. The great thing about dried lavender is after you’ve used it (you’ll have so much left over if you buy it from Whole Foods) is that you can tie it up again and store it in one of your closets or pantry and have a nice scent to greet you ever time you pop the door open.
These were some of the best figs that I’ve ever tasted, and there wasn’t one left on the cheese board by the end of the afternoon.

Now for the dress I wore for during our mid-afternoon cheese board snack… While this particular dress is no longer available from LOFT, (it sold out during the lockdown) it really was the mauve eyelet dress of my dreams with the ruffle detailing and midi length that I’ve recently started wearing more and more. Prior to our trip we switched out the brown buttons that were originally on the dress for some beautiful pink Italian buttons that my mom found online that worked so perfectly for the design of the dress.
If you’re still looking for the perfect eyelet dress, I’ve selected a few of my favorites that you can shop below.
