Strawberry season is one of my favorites, and although the fresh-picked strawberries from our trip to Bush n’ Vine are long gone, we picked up the most delicious strawberry syrup from the little market on the property. The syrup is made from strawberries grown on the farm and it makes the perfect sweetener for teas and sparkling drinks.
This spritzer features San Pellegrino, our favorite sparkling water. What I love about San Pellegrino is that the bubbles aren’t too much and it makes for a really good base for drinks versus tonic water or club soda and it’s quite delicious on its own as well.
I definitely think that this was one of the best Sunday afternoon beverages we’ve made so far and we served with madeleines and sprigs of fresh mint from our herb garden. We have an absolute forest of mints this year which include peppermint, orange mint, and chocolate mint. We briefly flirted with the idea of getting Mojito Mint that we saw at Whole Foods several months back before finally going with peppermint.
