This Tiered Short Sleeve Dress was made for southern humidity. The gauzy fabric keeps you cool, and the puff sleeves and tiered skirt are the perfect combinations of feminine and flirty. It’s my first ever dress from ASTR The Label (via Nordstrom), an LA-based brand known for its feminine silhouettes and attention to detail. I first ordered this dress in Sage, but I had to exchange it for the yellow instead. I’m definitely seeing a trend in my color choices this season, and yellow is definitely in. If yellow isn’t for you, it’s also available in white, black, and sage.
This dress was perfect for an afternoon exploring the neighborhood of Habersham, located in Beaufort County, SC. We had visited the neighborhood when we were staying in Bluffton, SC two years ago. It’s about 40 minutes outside of Bluffton, but it’s worth the drive to enjoy the neighborhood (although I’d recommend venturing out closer to dinner time as there were only two restaurants open for lunch service.)
I paired my look with vintage pearls that I’ve been borrowing from my mom for the past few years (after all, every lady needs to have a pair of pearls in her collection), simple pearl studs, my favorite pair of cat-eye sunglasses which are no longer available, but I’m loving these Le Specs Flossy Cat-Eye Sunglasses.
Tiered Short Sleeved Dress (ASTR The Label) // The City Sandal (Margaux) // Pearl Necklace (Vintage, similar from Saks)
I went with The City Sandal from Margaux to complete the look, and I love how the sandal in platinum reads more gold than silver with all of the outfits that I’ve paired them with. The circular buckle gives them a real vintage vibe and the heel gives you just enough height without sacrificing comfort.
