Are you ready to make the most delicious brunch mocktail ever? This is one of my favorite mocktails that I’ve made so far this spring, my absolute favorite is the Strawberry Lime Punch, but this one is a close second.
If you’re planning on having guests over for brunch, this is a drink that takes only minutes to make and doesn’t add any additional stress to the hostess. While it’s easy to make just before guests take their seats at the table, you can easily mix all of the ingredients in a pitcher beforehand, pop it in the refrigerator and it’s ready to go.
The mocktail from Mocktails, Inc that I used to create this drink is the Karma Sucra Mockapolitan, and features cranberry, lime, and botanical flavors. Like the other mocktails I’ve featured recently, you can enjoy any of the mocktails chilled on their own, or whip up one of the many delicious recipes that are available on their website. The Mockapolitan can be enjoyed like a typical Cosmo in a martini glass with a slice of orange, and while I toyed with the idea of going keeping things simple and enjoying this mocktail in a coupe glass with perhaps a curl of orange rind, I opted for this delicious Frozen Sunrise Mocktail instead.
Now, you don’t have to make fresh-squeezed orange juice for this recipe if you don’t have the time, but since we had quite a collection of oranges following our Mother’s Day Orange Soiree we created an orange juice with a unique flavor profile thanks to the combination of mandarin and navel oranges. I had a chance to sample the straight mandarin orange juice before we added it to the navel orange juice and I was an instant fan. As someone who prefers savory over sweet, I prefer it when something has a hint of sweetness without being overpowering.
Now let’s talk garnish. While you can easily enjoy these drinks without one, I loved being able to run out to our deck herb garden and grab some of our ever-abundant lemon thyme. Lemon thyme is such a versatile herb, and I like to add it to drinks, pasta dishes, soups, etc.
