When it comes to the bathroom, most of us aren’t thinking of our makeup bags as a significant source of germs. However, the truth is that the average human fingertip contains nearly double the amount of bacteria as a public toilet seat, and that bacteria regularly contaminates our makeup and brushes. Even more shockingly is the fact that nearly 1/4 women report never having cleaned their makeup bags! In order to keep your skin healthy and glowing, you need to be practicing proper cosmetic hygiene and getting rid of expired products.

Since I have a makeup drawer with removable organizers, cleaning them is fairly easy. However as it turns out I wasn’t cleaning my sponges nearly often enough.
