What better way to spend a Saturday than to tour gardens around Charlotte? I just happened to see the latest email from the Mint Museum of Art – Randolph, and as soon as I opened it I knew this was a tour that we had to see. My sister was in town for our upcoming Charleston trip, so we decided to make a day of it… and fit in a new pizza place.
Our lunch destination for the day was Blaze Pizza. I recently received free passes as part of a media kit (review with pictures of everyone’s pizzas coming to my foodie blog soon) so we decided why not try them out? Thankfully we got there before the lunch rush because by the time we were about to leave it was absolutely packed.
With all the seating options both indoors and out, we decided to continue getting the much needed fresh air after being cooped up inside for most of the week. Depending on where you set you can a view of Charlotte’s metro, the surrounding neighborhood, or a awesome view of the buildings Uptown.
Now for the food. The pizza was A-MAZ-ING! It cooks for just 180 seconds in the pizza oven and then it’s ready for you to enjoy. Another plus, when you go with make you own, you can get as many toppings as you like for the same set price. Needless to say, we will be back!
Out of all the gardens, our favorite was house number 6. Absolutely stunning and the herb garden was to die for. In mums words, she’d died and gone to heaven. We could only imagine how amazing the house must have looked inside.
The dream herb garden…
