This charcuterie board just says European Summer to me. With delicious chèvre, Castelvetrano olives from Sicily, Jamon Serrano Ham and Marcona almonds from Spain and delicately flavorful parchment crackers from Italy. This board explores both savory and sweet notes that thrill the tastebuds. The oregano flowers made a little splash of green and added freshness to the overall look of the board, and I have to say it’s one of my favorite boards that we’ve created lately.
While typically feature whole berries on our boards, slicing the strawberries made it so much easier to enjoy them this time around. You can slice them in either direction according to your person preference. I just happen to enjoy them the most as a sort of ‘strawberry chip’.
You’ll notice that honeycomb made a reappearance on this particular board. The latest honeycomb that I picked up from Savannah Bee Co (via Harris Teeter) was the best honeycomb we’ve had yet. Just the perfect amount of sweetness, and if you dip your walnuts into the honey it’s almost like having baklava without the phyllo dough. So delicious.
