Hello weekend! Just eight more days in the office and then it’s time for our trip to Charleston. Fingers crossed that the temperatures/humidity won’t be too inhospitable while we’re there, as I’m looking forward to spending some time outside, getting fresh air, walking around the city, and enjoying our stay by the Charleston Harbor! I have so many cute things that I ordered just prior to quarantine before we were due to leave for our original mid-April trip to Charleston. We opted to cancel that trip for obvious reasons (including the fact that everything as closed as the city was locked down.)
While it will be quite a bit warmer than it would have been for our original trip, I’m looking forward to wearing some of my new sundresses, hats (I have a serious obsession), doing a bit of painting, creating a delicious charcuterie board and more during our trip. I’m so excited just thinking about it! Plus we’ll have my sister and little niece along with us as well, so you’ll be seeing lots of cute baby pics from this proud auntie both in my Insta-stories and on the blog.

I absolutely love the Mosey Basket (by Olli Ella and sold by Maisonette) that Julia (Gal Meets Glam) recently featured in her Summer Blueberry Picking post. It would have been so cute to have taken Cecileia to a blueberry farm during our upcoming trip to Charleston, but the farm has already closed u pick for the season. There’s always next year!
Since the idea of frying food freaks me out, I’m loving the idea of recreating these Baked Blueberry Donuts by Broma Bakery.

Doesn’t this Melon Basil Burrata Salad with Crispy Prosciutto from Half Baked Harvest look AMAZING! The perfect thing for a quiet dinner out on the deck, or an impromptu picnic in your very own backyard. (Seriously, considering the backyard picnic option, we have the cutest rolling picnic basket coming (via Wayfair) and I’ve been looking a different waterproof picnic blankets on Amazon like this one.
