With all of the new restaurants popping up in and around Charlotte, I like to spend the holiday season exploring a few previously discovered spots along with some new ones. Since the weather was nice and sunny (albeit cold and rather windy) I decided to wear this new sweater and pants (both from Ann Taylor) for our adventures in Southend. There are so many new spots (not just food) that have arrived in Southend lately. We have a Sephora and West Elm just across from Anthropolgie in Atherton Mills, along with a few other shops that I can’t wait to check out. (One being The Golden Carrot, a fine jewelry store that has the most gorgeous jewelry pieces.)
It’s the perfect outfit for a holiday look, whether you’re going over for dinner at a friends house, or attending a holiday party at the office.
The Sweater
I love adding pink into my wardrobe regardless of the season, and the moment I saw this Ann Taylor Turtleneck Cable Sweater I knew that I had to add it to my fall/winter wardrobe. It’s also the perfect shade of peachy pink which works especially well for those of us with rosey undertones.
The Pants
I’ve only owned a pair of side zip pants once before, and now I remember why I liked them so much. These Ann Taylor The Petite Side-Zip Ankle Pant in Bi-Stretch are the perfect Audrey Hepburn-esque pair of pants and the side zipper means you don’t have to deal with any lumpiness in your look if you decided to pair them with a fitted top! Plus the fabric is seriously comfortable and keeps you a bit warmer than most slacks will.
The shoes
If you want to add a little bit of sparkle and flare to your holiday look these LOFT Jeweled Flats are the perfect addition. The only downside for those of us with narrow feet, is you might have to add a bit of padding at the heel and toe to keep these beauties on… They are however absolutely worth it!
Another thing to love is the vintage feel that these shoes have. I like to pretend that they are a vintage find that I’m giving a second life too. =)
Curious about the restaurant that I’m posing by? It’s the recently opened Link & Pin which happened to be right across the way from our lunch destination for the day, Eight + Sand.
